The theme of World Engineering Day for Sustainable Development 2023 is "Engineering innovation for a more resilient world".

World Engineering Day is a global celebration of how engineers, technicians, and technologists make a difference.

1. Celebrate engineers in your life. Honor colleagues, family, and friends by:
   • Taking a minute to say thank you.
   • Recognizing an engineer’s achievements in your organization’s newsletter.
   • Nominating an engineer you admire for an award.
2. Join us on social media for #WorldEngineeringDay. Share photos of:
   • Engineering projects you work on or admire.
   • You and your project teams.
   • Engineers you want to recognize for their good work or inspiration.
   • Engineering celebrations (example: from your Engineers Day, Week or Month events).
   • Quotes about being an engineer.
     AND some selfies!
3. Host a World Engineering Day event.
   • Plan a coffee or lunch with a few colleagues or host a larger celebration in-person or virtually.
   • Invite an inspiring speaker to deliver a virtual or live talk on World Engineering Day

STEAMfest 2023

 Clarkstown Central School District Presents

Join us on May 4th from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm for the first CCSD STEAMfest!  This event will have demonstrations as well as fun, hands-on activities for the community to participate in.  

• Come out and watch the culmination of the 8th Grade CO2 Dragster races and celebrate the crowning of this year's champion.
• See what our elementary students are doing with robotics and then try it yourself in a hands-on challenge activity.
• Watch the middle school robots battle it out in a Vex Robot competition.
• Talk to the High School Robotics teams and see their First Robotics robots in action.
• Meet the Clarkstown PD Drone Unit and get a close-up look at their drone equipment.
• Step over from the Clarktown PD Drones and try your hand at programming a drone to fly autonomously.

In addition to all of the amazing technology on display:

• Take some time to talk to local businesses about STEM jobs and internships available to high school students.  
• Explore the various college STEM-related programs offered locally.

There will be something for everyone at STEAMfest 2023!
